Welcome!

I am an Assistant Professor in the School of International Relations and Diplomacy at Beijing Foreign Studies University.

I received a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Georgia in 2022.

My research concerns comparative institutions, political behavior, and public opinion. Specifically, I examine how the evolution of institutions in authoritarian contexts influences the adaptability and resilience of such regimes, and my work stresses the importance of focusing on dynamic processes rather than making static assumptions about political agents in authoritarian settings.

I have published my research in The China Quarterly, Journal of Chinese Governance, Palgrave Handbook of Local Governance in Contemporary China, and Routledge Handbook of Chinese Discourse Analysis, among other outlets.
